Sarah Goldbart is a British painter based in France & the UK.

Born in London, Goldbart successfully completed her Arts Degree at Loughborough College of Art & Design. On graduation she returned to London as a freelance artist / designer before moving to West Cornwall to concentrate on painting. A period spent as family carer, and experience of a number of close family bereavements resulted in her notable decision to move to France. She now divides her time between her home and studio in the Parisian outskirts  and London. Both experiences continue to provide influence and nourish her passion for making art.

Goldbart has a continuing fascination with the natural world, and has long been an admirer of both skilfully rendered representational art forms and the expressive energetic freedom of the abstraction. These eclectic inspirations continue to have an influence on her painting, which is rooted in academic observational study, yet strives to evolve beyond realistic depiction, in favour of a visually emotive, gestural response to her chosen subject.

The latest series of paintings, 'Nature Fragile' is a direct reaction to the decimation of the natural world by human interference. The natural world is continually under threat, yet ever resilient. With this work, Goldbart seeks to persuade the viewer to contemplate its beauty and its vulnerability.

Goldbart has exhibited widely. Her paintings are included in the collections of The Countess of St.Germain, the Ukrainian and Lithuanian embassies, Birnam Wood Golf Club, Sir William Mather, international hotels, & prominent corporate / private collectors worldwide.
